Brittnay M. McMahon
CLE Chair

Brittnay is an associate with O’Connell and Aronowitz’ Residential Real Estate, Trusts & Estates, and Litigation practices. She interned with the United States Attorney for the Northern District of New York; The Honorable Thomas J. McAvoy, a Federal Judge in the Northern District of New York; and the New York State Bar Association Continuing Legal Education Department. Brittnay served as a Lead Articles Editor of the Albany Law Journal of Science and Technology.

In the Real Estate market, changes happen daily, both expected and unexpected.  Understanding the immediate nature; having the skills to continue momentum as well as being dedicated to making time for each question and issue are what you can expect when working with Brittnay.  She prides herself on her commitment to her clients and providing a high level of service and advocacy to every client in every matter.

While in law school, Brittnay received a Pro Bono Distinction award for her work with the Albany Law School Pro Bono Society. She has continued her civic responsibilities while in practice. In September 2013, Brittnay won an important pro bono victory in Court representing a mother of four with a gravely ill child who was facing eviction. Her successful effort will allow the family additional time in their apartment. Brittnay has also participated in the "Attorney for the Day" Program in Albany City Court which provides pro bono legal representation to tenants at their first appearance in eviction proceedings, and regularly participates in pro bono clinics providing legal services to Veterans.

Brittnay currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Boys and Girls Club of Schenectady as its Treasurer, and she also serves as Chairperson of the Campership Campaign.
